Queen News World / Tangerang Regency, October 14, 2026 – Minister of Trade Budi Santoso today, Wednesday (10/14), presented the 2026 Primaniyarta and Primaduta Awards to 50 high-achieving exporters and overseas trade partners of Indonesia. The awards were presented during the opening ceremony of the 41st Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) and TEI Night at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD City, Tangerang Regency, Banten on the same day. Trade Minister Busan stated that the 2026 Primaniyarta and Primaduta Awards serve as a form of government appreciation for the "two sides of the same coin" roles played by exporters and trade partners.
“Indonesia recorded strong export performance thanks to the roles of exporters and trade partners, which are like two sides of the same coin. First, persistent exporters delivering competitive products; second, loyal trade partners who continue to trust Indonesian products. We appreciate the contributions of both and hope that more business players will be inspired to strengthen Indonesia's exports,” said Trade Minister Busan.
In August 2026, Indonesia's trade balance recorded a surplus of USD 3.55 billion. This figure represents a sharp strengthening compared to the July 2026 surplus of USD 0.12 billion. This growth was mainly driven by a non-oil and gas sector surplus of USD 6.09 billion amid an oil and gas sector deficit of USD 2.54 billion. The surplus in August 2026 also contributed to the cumulative surplus from January to August 2026, which reached USD 7.25 billion. The cumulative surplus consists of a non-oil and gas surplus of USD 28.54 billion and an oil and gas deficit of USD 21.29 billion.
Highest Honor
Primaniyarta is the highest award given by the Government of Indonesia to exporters who consistently increase national exports. Primaniyarta is also awarded to regional heads who actively promote exports through various initiatives, such as introducing local brand products in promotional activities, opening up new market opportunities, and inspiring other export actors.
The 2026 Primaniyarta Award was conferred upon 20 recipients divided into 8 categories. There is one special category: Exporter Utilizing FTA. This category recognizes exporters who consistently increase Indonesian exports through the utilization of Free Trade Agreements (FTA).
One of the recipients of the Primaniyarta Award in the Prospective Market Exporter Category was the Director of CV Spice Solution Indonesia, Daniel Ferri Sutanto. He stated that receiving the award serves as motivation to continuously increase exports and expand reach into international markets. Currently, his company has exported Indonesian products to around 30 countries, including several non-traditional markets such as Spain, Portugal, Argentina, and countries in Eastern Europe.
“Primaniyarta is a highly prestigious award for exporters and serves as motivation for us to keep boosting exports. Moving forward, we hope to open up broader export markets. We also hope the government continues to provide opportunities for exporters, including MSMEs, to meet new buyers so that export opportunities for Indonesian products become even wider,” Daniel said.
Meanwhile, Primaduta is an award from the Government of Indonesia given to trade partners who have established sustainable trade relationships with Indonesian exporters. Primaduta is awarded to overseas buyers who are consistent and loyal in purchasing Indonesian products, showing a continuously increasing purchase trend. Primaduta is also awarded to Indonesian foreign representatives who actively expand market access for Indonesian exports and enhance national non-oil and gas export performance.
“The trust of our trade partners is an essential asset for Indonesia to continue strengthening its position in the global market. We appreciate the overseas buyers who have chosen Indonesian products and hope this trade relationship will continue to grow and bring mutual benefits,” expressed Trade Minister Busan.
The 2026 Primaduta Award was conferred upon 30 recipients divided into 8 categories. There is a special category, the Indonesia Export Strategic Partner Award. This category is awarded to buyers or importers who increase Indonesia's non-oil and gas exports to countries that already have or are in the process of trade agreements with Indonesia.
One of the recipients of the Primaduta Award in the Indonesian Product Promoter Category was the Country Head of TPI Importaciones Mexico, Sulianto. He stated that the Primaduta Award he received serves as an encouragement to continue increasing purchases of Indonesian products.
“We hope purchases of products from Indonesia will continue to increase so that our business in Mexico and our principal company in Indonesia can grow together. This increase in purchases not only benefits our business in Mexico, but also the industries in Indonesia,” Sulianto said.
